• VerneDCt Retreat

On September 11 and 12, the VERNEDCT team met outside of their usual work environment to evaluate the current status of the project in Eisenach. The event provided ideal working conditions as the venue allowed everyone t work structered and intense on the next taks.

The first day focused on short presentations from the individual workstreams. This was followed by a moderated discussion that offered space for questions and in-depth conversations. To ensure transparency regarding the project’s progress, participants then placed green cards on a pinboard for completed tasks and red cards for outstanding ones. These results were analyzed and prioritized during an intensive plenary session later in the afternoon.

The intensive exchange proved particularly valuable in maintaining an overview of such a complex and novel project while further strengthening collaboration across the different disciplines.

To round off the day, the international team took a walk to the Wartburg.

On the second day we got a tutorial from Dr. Steffen Schlegel on “System aspect – techno-economic assessment” and discussed in a round table the take aways. We finished our retreat with defining the next steps.
